Why are we called
Cala Bona?
Our restaurant is named Cala Bona in homage to the history and tradition of Blanes. In the past, the current Cala de Sant Francesc was known as Cala Bona, a name that highlighted the qualities of this spot as a safe refuge for fishermen during storms. The term “bona” referred to the natural protection that the cove offered against the local winds, especially the most dangerous ones.
